Support Paco's Fight For His Father!
Please help us in our effort to support our friend Paco in his fight to save his father from his battle with cancer.
Just a few short months ago Paco's father (Paco Sr.) was originally diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, but his situation has quickly escalated and grown dire. When Paco Sr. was originally diagnosed with prostate cancer, he began 2 months of radiation. However, cancer quickly spread to his lymph nodes and 6 months later he began having back pain and could no longer stand. After a CAT Scan, the doctors found several masses in his stomach, which spread to his liver and spine; causing 2 fractures in his spine. And now… the doctors have found 7 tumors in his brain.
Paco Sr. was diagnosed with "Undifferential Carcinoma." Cancer in which the cells are very immature and "primitive" and do not look like cells in the tissue from which it arose; which makes it difficult for doctors to determine where the cancer is coming from and the "type" of cancer.
It is because of this the doctors are unable to effectively treat Paco Sr., leaving them the only option of a "blanket" treatment, rather than a targeted cancer treatment. He has lost 60 pounds, and now after his 5th chemo treatment he is having seizures and passing out, causing several trips to the ER.
In order to fight his battle with cancer, Paco Sr. was forced to retire, but in doing so, the union cut off his medical insurance leaving his son Paco (Jr.) to scramble to find coverage. After some time, he was able to get his father coverage through Medicare, but not all procedures and medication are covered. Also, as any son would, Paco is doing everything in his power to find alternative and holistic treatments to help save his father's life and NONE of this is covered by Medicare.
Paco (Jr.), who is the primary caretaker of his family has dedicated his life to helping his father, dealing with the insurance companies, the union, doctors, taking his father to daily doctor appointments, chemo treatments and helping with his nephew, who his parents are raising. In turn, all of this has severely impacted his ability to work and support himself as well.
Paco and his family are in need of our love and support so please donate and share with your friends and network- every donation is welcomed and deeply appreciated.
