Support Paige's Dad Through Heart Surgery

First, get to know my dad, David. My dad has been racing for my whole life and before. He has raced cars but has moved to karts since his health has gotten worse. He won the WKA Daytona Road Race Championship in 2016 in the TAG 125 class, and it is one of his proudest moments. My dad has a love for the Guardians. We go to as many games as we can together, and his favorite player is Will Brennan. Let's not forget his love for history either. My dad has been an amazing father and my best friend.

For my whole life, my dad has had his medical struggles, including Diabetes, Lupus, and End Stage Kidney Failure. He has been on dialysis for the last 7 years. Back in 2022, my dad had open-heart surgery to get a triple bypass. My dad had a rough recovery with some complications. Everything was going well until the last year when symptoms reoccurred, which slowed him down, leading to finding out he will need a valve replacement. It was originally planned for him to get another open-heart surgery called the Ross procedure. It was then discovered that he has calcification of his lower body that would make the procedure much riskier than it already was. It was also discovered that my dad would never be able to get a kidney transplant because of the calcification. My dad is now waiting on the less invasive aortic valve replacement. The dates have been getting pushed back over and over again which has been making daily life harder on my dad. He is now currently hospitalized because of him struggling to breath and chest pain. They are looking into a possible blood clot in his lung.

My dad tried to put on a brave face, but daily life is starting to get difficult for him. He has not been able to work. I will be taking care of my dad through his recovery, but he will still have his bills that need to be paid outside of me. I do not want him to worry about the financial strain while he should be focusing on his recovery.
