Support Paisley's Fight Against Leukemia
Donation protected
On 06/13/2024, little did the Davis family know that a trip to their local Kaiser Emergency Room, for the youngest of their five daughters - 4-year-old, Paisley Mia Davis - would change their lives. Not long after arriving at the local ER and having initial tests performed, Paisley was transferred to a specialty hospital. It was learned that Paisley was in acute liver failure and was also diagnosed with Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Initially, the focus had to be on Paisley's liver, as due to the leukemia she could not receive a transplant and most of the cancer drugs would have had devastating effects on her liver. God answered prayers for Paisley and began to heal her liver. As Paisley's liver began to slowly get better, she was able to incorporate small doses of chemotherapy drugs and eventually, full doses of chemotherapy drugs. Paisley's initial cancer treatment has been highly customized due to the obstacles presented by her liver, but God continues to answer prayers and give Paisley the strength to fight, all while maintaining her outgoing and loving personality.
Tyler and his wife Kelly have been by Paisley's side in the hospital everyday since that initial trip to the ER - a month's stay at this point - and they will continue to do so until she is well enough to receive outpatient treatment. Tyler and Kelly's four other daughters are about an hour and a half away, with Kelly's family. That separation has been hard on Paisley and the other girls, as well as Tyler and Kelly. Additionally, Paisley was excited to make new friends and start Kindergarten in August - three days after her 5th birthday - but will now be home schooled for the time being.
Paisley's bone marrow and spinal fluid will be re-tested on July 19th and from that test, a future treatment plan will be developed. Paisley has a long road ahead and the obstacles to be faced are unknown. Regardless, her future treatments will continue to be about an hour and a half away from home and likely on at least a weekly basis, with some treatments necessitating overnight stays. Any assistance and/or continued prayers for Paisley's complete and relapse free remission and full recovery are appreciated greatly.
Through God, Paisley will win and have much to offer the world, as she grows up having to overcome obstacles few have to.
