Support for Uber attack victim, Hassan Ahmed
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
This fundraiser will help a friend who needs our support at a very critical time with the help of PSAA - Pakistani Students Association of Australia.
Hassan Ahmed, a resident of Melbourne, Australia, had been a victim of a horrific crime. He was driving Uber on the night of 11th March 2022 and was stabbed seven times by his Uber riders in an attempt to rob him. He somehow managed to flee from the scene and contacted the emergency services. He has survived the fatal wounds, but he is still in hospital on his way towards his recovery. Doctors have informed us that he has punctures on his lungs and need to keep him in hospital for at least a week.
Concerned authorities have initiated their work to get Hassan justice and catch the culprits involved in the crime, and now it is our turn, as a community, to play our part to help and support him. Uber has been his primary source of income, and he is the sole breadwinner of his family. He might not be able to work for at least four to six months, considering his injuries. Lungs recovery might take two months itself.
So we are all trying to get him out of this crucial time and raising a fund to support him financially.
This fundraiser will help him out in the following ways:
- Ambulance expenses
- Hospital expenses
- Food and living expenses
- Call someone from his family in Pakistan to take care of him in Australia
- Physical and Trauma counselling
Let's all show our support to Hassan and don't let our friend feel that he is alone in this situation. We are all here for him
