Palestinian families who have fled from Gaza to Egypt are in a desperate situation and need our help now!

I am part of a local grassroots group in Cairo, and together we currently support over 50 Palestinian families who have found refuge in Egypt. Every week, new families reach out to us in desperate need of help. In order to continue supporting these families, while also helping more, we are fully dependent on donations. In January, I am planning my third trip to Cairo to visit and support the families.

The need is overwhelming. Thousands of Palestinian families have fled from Gaza with only the clothes they were wearing when they left their homes. They receive no help from Egyptian authorities or international organizations. In a foreign country, without the right to work or any means to support themselves, they are trapped in a daily life filled with sorrow for the families they had to leave behind in Gaza and uncertainty about the future.

Life in Cairo is extremely challenging. Rent prices and living costs have skyrocketed, and without the ability to work, these families are entirely dependent on aid to survive. Imagine the emotional and psychological burden of going from full independence to total dependency overnight – not knowing if there will be enough money for food or shelter next month.

We are not a large charity organization – we are a small group of dedicated volunteers working directly with the families. 100 % of the raised funds goes directly to those in need.

These families are not just numbers or faces on a screen. They are parents fighting to feed their children, people who have been forced to leave behind everything they have built in their careers, and they are now in a fight for survival. They need our help now more than ever. Donations are crucial to providing them with food, shelter, and medical assistance. Every krone counts. By giving, you are not only providing necessities, you are giving them hope – you are showing them that they are not forgotten, and that the world still cares.
