Support Palestinian Science with Scientists for Palestine

Scientists for Palestine (S4P) is an international organization with the mission to promote science and support the integration of Palestine and its talented academics into the international scientific community. Created by and for scientists, S4P is dedicated to elevating Palestinian scientists who face the daily challenges of Israeli occupation. Thanks to our local connections in Palestine and at leading universities and research institutes, S4P is uniquely positioned to support Palestinian academics’ revitalization of their science infrastructure.
Since 2016, Scientists for Palestine (S4P) has taken a holistic approach to fostering a resilient and thriving Palestinian scientific community:
- We've launched several advanced schools in physics and artificial intelligence at Palestinian universities, such as Birzeit University and the Arab American University of Jenin. These initiatives have bridged the gap between Palestinian graduate students and internationally renowned scientists, helping to overcome the isolation imposed by the occupation.
- Our International Meetings for Science in Palestine (IMSP), hosted by the University of Cambridge, Columbia University, and MIT, have mobilized the international scientific community in support of Palestinian science.
- Our online lectures have reached tens of thousands worldwide, raising awareness and support for our cause. We've attracted prominent scientists, including Nobel laureates such as George Smith and Esther Duflo.
- And now amidst the ongoing war against Gaza, which poses an existential threat to Palestinian education and innovation, we are developing an online Scholasticide Archive to document attacks on academia. This platform will raise global awareness and preserve the history of these challenges for future generations, reinforcing our commitment to a comprehensive and supportive approach to Palestinian science.
We need your support to fund our ambitious plans for 2025 (detailed breakdown of the prices below):
- Organizing a school on quantum physics & technology in the Westbank with the vision of organizing schools in Gaza when when as soon as it is feasible to do so: $ 47k
- Building an online scholasticide archive/platform to increase global awareness and serve as a documentation source to all those interested in knowing the history and extent of the massive destruction: $ 15k
- Organize the first International Meetings for Science in Palestine in Continental Europe - an international gathering designed to facilitate attendance by our colleagues in the middle East: $ 42k
- Challenge Israel's participation in the EU scientific research and innovation initiative at the European Court of Justice. Horizon Europe, is the world's largest scientific research funding program through which Israel receives significant funding in the order of hundreds of millions annually, among other things for research with military implications: $ 66k
