Support Pardeep's Funeral and Family

Dear all,

I am Deepti Bala Arora, and I am currently organizing a fundraiser for my late husband, Pardeep Kumar Arora's funeral and memorial services. Pardeep tragically passed away on July 18th, 2023, at the age of 40, after suffering from a stroke.

In the weeks leading up to his passing, Pardeep had been in good health. However, he experienced a sudden and severe decline when I found him at home, unable to move, with bleeding from his nose and intense headaches. Immediately, I called for an ambulance, and he was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. Medical scans revealed a brain clot that had been gradually growing and causing the bleeding. To save his life, the doctors decided to perform a Neuro Embolization Procedure.

Thankfully, Pardeep regained consciousness after the surgery and seemed to be in better health. He was kept under observation at the hospital for two weeks due to the risk of another stroke. During this period, he showed signs of recovery and looked forward to returning home.

However, on the day after we returned home, a sudden and severe deterioration occurred. Pardeep lost consciousness and was rushed back to Abbotsford Regional Hospital, where they discovered significant brain swelling. Despite transferring him back to Royal Columbian Hospital, his condition worsened, and it became evident that he might not survive.

Subsequently, we received heartbreaking news from the head doctor that a mistake had been made by one of the nurses during his initial hospitalization. The nurse had failed to administer two crucial doses of medication that would have helped prevent the brain swelling. This oversight led to a tragic outcome, and Pardeep passed away that night.

During these difficult times, any support you can provide towards the funeral and memorial expenses would be deeply appreciated.
