Hi everyone. My name is Alec Yuhas and I am establishing this GoFundMe for the benefit of my cousin JJ Rodriguez and his wife Kristina. As best as I can recall, JJ and Kristina have been together for the better part of a decade. Through their relationship, JJ had the privilege of gaining a very special amigo, Kristina’s son Ashton. Over their years together, the three of them developed and shared a very special bond. That bond was made official in September 2021 as JJ and Kristina married. JJ gained a wonderful wife in Kristina and a very special stepson in Ashton.
On Friday March 22nd, 2024, Ashton was tragically taken from this world without warning or notice. Ashton was just 13 years old and was to celebrate his 14th birthday next week. While no parent should ever have to bury a child, JJ and Kristina now unfortunately find themselves in this unimaginable position. Their loss is immeasurable, and their pain knows no bounds right now. My hope was that friends and family could rally to financially support JJ and Kristina during this difficult time. This GoFundMe will go towards easing any financial burden they may incur as they say their goodbyes to Ashton and navigate their grief going forward. The financial goal set for this GoFundMe was established with the idea of covering costs related to some or potentially all of the following: funeral/burial, a headstone, ambulance cost, counseling, etc. Any amount contributed would be wholeheartedly appreciated. 100% of proceeds will go to JJ and Kristina.
