Help the family of Parker Nance pay for funeral & burial

Donation protected

On the night of June 2, 2024 Michelle & Robert Williamson received the worst news any parent could ever hear. The police came to their home and sorrowfully had to share with them that their 22 year old daughter, Parker, had been killed in a head on collision in Wilmington by a driver under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The 59 y/o female driver crossed two lanes of traffic on Market Street and hit Parker’s car head on, killing her instantly and critically injuring her passenger. As if things couldn't get any worse, the family was informed that the driver at fault was driving with a permanently revoked license due to previous DWI’s and had no car insurance.

I started this fundraiser in hopes of assisting Parker’s family as she was my niece. I’ve seen the toll it has taken on our family emotionally, mentally, physically and financially and specifically that of her mother Michelle and her younger sister, Taylor. Parker was Michelle’s first child and the one who made her a mom for the very first time. She adored this angel she had been blessed with on the day after the 9/11 tragedies and always looked at that moment as a circle of life, little did she know it would be her daughter’s turn at the age of 22 to end hers so others could begin.

One of the first things I think about when I think about Parker was the light she emitted. There are people that come into your life that have this inner light that shines outward, be it from their personality, smile, beauty, grace, compassion, etc. and Parker possessed all of these things. If you ever had the opportunity to meet her you would quickly agree. She loved her family deeply and was her little sister’s biggest cheerleader. She also loved her job at Ulta and her co-workers quickly became her friends and family. Parker was a friend to all, if she was your friend she would make you feel seen, heard, and loved. She was very vocal about her thoughts on equality of the races and inclusivity. In her eyes, she did not see life as ‘black and white” but looked inward. She was your friend for the person you were on the inside and never looked beyond that.

So much has been taken from our family and I am trying to help Robert and Michelle in some way feel a small weight has been lifted. A parent should not outlive their child nor should the grandparents. I would like to ask if you could help relieve some of the financial burden that has been placed upon them. As I stated in the beginning, the driver who took Parker’s life had no insurance, no driver’s license, and no care for the welfare of the people driving down the road. They recklessly drove their car on the night of June 2nd and forever changed the lives of everyone that knew Parker. To date funeral expenses, cemetery plot, headstone and internment exceed $25,000. Michelle and Robert would appreciate any donation, regardless of size that is made on behalf of their daughter, Parker. Help me to support this family in a time where they are heartbroken and overwhelmed. Your donation makes a difference by helping them to focus on trying to put their lives back together.

Thank you for your kindness and consideration,
