Support Parker Rose's Heart Surgery Journey

Donation protected
I am asking for my friends to help this young family who have lived in Moore County (Bobo Hollow Road) since 2021. Kelly and Angela have a beautiful family with three small children. They have just learned their oldest, Parker Rose, (almost 4) will have heart surgery September 30. Their medical bills have been piling up (including a Life Flight bill) while doctors have been working to diagnose her illness.

This week, the family met with Parker's new cardiologist who specializes in her heart condition. She is diagnosed as having hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It has been decided they will do open heart surgery to remove a portion of the ventricle muscle in her heart to help remove the blockage she has. After surgery there will be a few days in ICU with an overall stay in the hospital for a week. She will have a six-week recovery with lots of limitations. There could be a risk of a potential pace maker if needed, but if surgery goes as planned then she might not need ANY further surgery.

Initially they were told the surgery would be within two months. Today they learned it will be less than two weeks.

Both Angela and Kelly work full time and will need to take off quite a bit to be with Parker Rose. They have a wonderful church family and great neighbors but are going to need more help in the coming weeks. Angela's mother, the children's grandmother, lives in California and is making arrangements to get time off to come and stay with the family to help with Parker and her two younger brothers during her recovery.

Having their Nonna here with the children and the family will be a blessing for them all as they chart the days ahead.

Parker's Mother Angela says, "Parker Rose is so strong and resilient we know that this is just a small part of God's journey for her! The next few weeks will be a huge focus on family while we prepare for Parker’s recovery at home."

Her Father Kelly's prayer is - "Father, you are so good and mighty. We know you would not give us obstacles we could not get through, from the valleys, to the forest, to the mountain tops. I know you will always be there for my family and I. Father I ask you to give Ang and I the strength in these coming months as we navigate all that Parker is going to endure."

As their friend, I hope to help them ease some financial worries as they focus on sweet Parker Rose.
