Support Parker Vidrine's Recovery from Terrorist Attack
Donation protected
Parker Vidrine, an 18-year-old freshman at Ole Miss, was critically injured during the devastating terrorist attack in New Orleans on January 1, 2025. What was supposed to be a joyful night out with friends, all home from college breaks to ring in the New Year, quickly turned into an unspeakable nightmare. Parker was struck by the truck, alongside his dear friend Kareem Badawi, who tragically lost his life in the attack.
Parker was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was placed on a ventilator to help his body heal. After several days in the ICU, he is finally home, still facing a long road to recovery. During these dark days, the Vidrine family finds comfort in the belief that Parker’s father, Kyle, who passed away in January of 2021, was with him in that moment, watching over him and keeping him safe.
As a dear family friend of more than 20 years, I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Vidrine family to ask for your support. The financial burden of Parker’s medical care, along with the long-term expenses of his recovery, is overwhelming. His mother, Andrea, and his sister, Kaitlyn, have been by his side every step of the way, providing endless love and care. They are incredibly grateful for the strength and comfort they’ve received from their family, friends, and community, and they are holding on to every prayer, every kind word, and every act of support that has come their way.
All funds raised will go directly to Parker Vidrine, his mother Andrea Vidrine and his sister Kaitlyn Vidrine to be used at their discretion during this grave time.
