Help Provide a Scooter for Pastor Bales

Hi! My name is Heather Weber and I'm the Southeast Section Presbyter for the Iowa Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. I'm raising money for an electric scooter for Pastor Mike Bales, who is an AG pastor in our fellowship. He and his wife Sue have faithfully pastored Muscatine First Assembly in Muscatine, IA, for many years.

For nearly a year, Pastor Bales has been suffering with wounds on his foot. The wound has become so infected that doctors at the VA hospital are considering amputation, but hope to save his foot. On June 7, he will have surgery to try to repair the wound. He will receive a skin graft with a wound vacuum. The healing process will take quite some time and he absolutely must not walk on his foot during this time. Unfortunately, Pastor Bales is unable to use crutches or a non-electric scooter to get around in his home.

This year he has not been able to work, and has incurred many medical expenses for co-payments, antibiotic prescriptions and ointments, hospital stays, and wound care supplies, which his wife Susan has to change 2-3 times a day.

I'm asking if you would prayerfully consider donating to the costs of an electric scooter for Pastor Bales. This would help him be more independent in the house as he is healing, and take the physical load off of his foot. The family has found an electric scooter that is on sale right now (Normally they cost over $7,000).
