Hello, my name is Patricia Coleman (Flowers). On December 31st, my daughter, Tameika Flowers-Goode, tragically passed away in my home. Since then, I have taken full responsibility for her two children, including her son who has autism. All of us—myself and her children—witnessed her passing, which has left us deeply shaken and grieving.
Due to the overwhelming emotional distress and trauma we are facing, we cannot continue living in the apartment where this tragedy occurred. I explained our situation to the apartment complex and requested an early termination of my lease, along with a waiver of the associated fees. Unfortunately, my request was denied. The leasing office informed me that I must pay $2,698 to terminate the lease, in addition to this month’s rent of $1,498 (which includes a late fee). Additionally, I am now facing eviction for January's rent, which includes $237 in attorney fees. The total amount needed to resolve this situation is $4,433.
I recently buried my daughter, and I am reaching out with a sincere and humble request for help. Any assistance during this incredibly difficult time would mean the world to my family and me. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
