Support peacebuilding efforts in the DRC

Ben Mussanzi wa Mussangu, the director of Centre Resolution Conflits, has requested for us to share this initiative supporting peace building in the Congo:

✊Appeal for CRC’s Peacebuilding & Reconciliation (PBR) mission in the DR Congo 4th Journey /2024

Dear friends & partners of CRC, greetings from Bradford UK!

✊Some of you may have heard about the DR Congo war and humanitarian crises related to mobile telephones and electric cars and in which 10,000,000+of people have been killed in the last 2 decades and world media rarely reporting about this. This is why for 18 years Centre Resolution Conflicts (CRC) and Bradford Congo Campaign (BCC) have been raising the awareness of the EU and UK public and leaders.

✊”But since we realised, 4 years ago (2019), that responsibilities in these disasters are shared between outsiders (the West and the East) and insiders (DR Congo political and business leaders), we changed the strategy and the target”

✊Since then we do go there every year (except during the COVID-19) with workshops in the frame of Peacebuilding & Reconciliation (PBR) missions.

✊This year (2024), we have planned to raise funds to go for the 4th Journey (workshops in other cities/towns not yet reached. It will be a milestone, as CRC also has reached 30 years since the group was set up in 1993, 3 years before the DR Congo war.
