Support Peaches' Surgery and Recovery

Hi!! My name is Charlie Booth and I am a disabled former dog trainer, current artist with PTSD :) This is my dog Peaches. She is 5 years old and the absolute light of my life. She loves going on hikes, barking at me when I am not sharing my food with her, cuddling with her family, and trying to get onto my computer desk. She is also a great source of emotional support for me when I have my PTSD episodes.

Peaches has always been a pretty unhealthy girl: Her list of medical issues is long, including extra teeth, knees that pop out, psychiatric issues (yes, she's on Prozac), and epilepsy we only recently brought under control (yayyy it's controlled!). My platonic wife and I have handled all of the financial responsibility of this, of course. She's our baby girl and our family. All this to say that she is my best friend but also we don't have any savings to fall back on.

Recently, I noticed a lump on Peaches' side near her stomach and took her to the vet to get it checked out.

Unfortunately, because of the location of the growth (tucked in up next to her stomach), initial tests cannot give us a definitive answer as to whether it is cancerous. She is only five years old. The vet is very concerned about the location and size of the growth and happy we caught it when we did. The only way to determine whether it is cancer is to have it removed and biopsied. The surgery will be a little more time-consuming and tricky because the lump is deep in her body.

In having these diagnostics done, we were also informed that she has some dental work she needs done that can be performed at a discount as part of the surgery cost. We are also asking for help with that.

The cost breakdown is as follows:
Surgery and Lump Biopsy - $2,984.02
Initial Testing/Procedures - $529.04
Estimated GoFundMe Fees - $150.00

I know that money is tight for everyone right now, and I wouldn't ask for this if it wasn't absolutely necessary. Thank you so much in advance if you choose to help us with de-lumping Peaches. Here are a bunch of photos of her in her natural habitats:

Again, thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Hopefully, together we can get Peaches de-lumped as soon as possible!
