Support Pedro on his road to recovery

Pedro Caceres is a loving father, husband, son, and brother. A hard worker who loves walks on the beach with his wife Cristina, listening to rock n' roll music, and spending time with his sons and daughter. He has always puts others before himself and we are grateful for any support you can provide us. 

On March 8, 2019 Pedro fell at home causing him to injure his C3 and C4 vertebrae. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency spinal surgery to save his life. After several days of waiting, our family learned that although he would survive the spinal cord injury, we were devastated to find out that he will remain paralyzed from the neck down and require round-the-clock care for the remainder of his life.

He is currently at the hospital and remains on a ventilator(life support) to help him breathe and the doctors are uncertain of what his future may look like. His recovery will not only be long and difficult, but it will also be very expensive.

Pedro is a small business owner and the main provider for our family. We are in the process of dissolving his business and liquidating all assets in order to help pay the medical bills. This fundraiser will help pay for some up-front costs as well as the cost of acute nursing and skilled nursing moving forward. 

We are extremely grateful for any support you can provide to help cover these costs. We hope more than anything, in time, Pedro can establish a new relationship with his body, his family, and his community.
