Support Penda Health to vaccinate Kenyans against Covid-19...
Penda Health Medical Centres have been designated as vaccination centers by the Government of Kenya! Through this partnership, we have already administered over 21,000 doses of the vaccines. Currently, we are vaccinating over 400 patients per day across 7 of our Medical Centres, but to keep up this work, we need your help.
While the cost of the vaccine is fully covered by the Kenyan Government, it costs Penda about $2 per dose administered to fund things like:
- Extra Staffing: We need to hire new staff at our facilities to administer the vaccines.
- Transport: Transporting vaccine doses from government depots to our medical centers on a daily basis.
- Training: Administering the vaccine requires specialized training on the most up to date vaccine protocols.
- Community engagement: To get more patients into our Medical Centres for vaccinations and to address issues of vaccine hesitancy, we are engaging in regular community outreach and education campaigns.
