Hi, I am coming to you on behalf of my dear friend, Penny Marsh. Let me start by sharing with you how incredibly hard it is for her to ask for help. She was very hesitant to allow me to do this because she doesn’t want to be “a burden.” She is 66 years old, a woman of Christian faith, an artist, a mother, a wife, a wheelchair user, an amputee with diabetes that has really "been through it" as the saying goes. Her faith in God and his plan for her is unwavering! She always shares with me, “I KNOW He has a plan for my life.” She is always sharing testimonies of all He has done for her... and He has done a LOT!
Now she is facing a new storm. She very recently went through several tests and it's been determined that she has Invasive Mammary Ductal Carcinoma. That's a whole lot of syllables which simply stated means breast cancer. The Big C. There is nothing that the Lord can't handle, but He expects us to take the first step. She has decided that step is to reach out and ask for HELP from you.
This Thursday she will have an MRI and the next day she and her husband will drive three plus hours to Albuquerque for a surgical consult with a breast surgeon. Due to the timing they will need to stay at a motel before they make the drive home.
I can foresee many new expenses in addition to the travel: medications, treatments, surgical procedures. All of this is very stressful to consider. She needs to keep life low stress and peaceful in order to fight this disease!
Please help to defray the costs and help lower the stress and worry. Whatever God's plan is it will be better than whatever we can think up, but she can't stop her brain from working overtime. She really worries about how they will pay the bills. The income they have now keeps them a float, but the added costs surrounding this Cancer is already pushing them beyond their limits.
Thank you for your time, donations, and for sharing this link!
