Support Peter & Annette Miller: Replace Their Stolen Car
Donation protected
Peter and Annette Miller have dedicated their lives to uplifting Indigenous communities, advocating for land rights, education, and cultural preservation. Their contributions have left a lasting impact, but now they need our support.
Recently, the Miller family faced a devastating loss—their family car, which they had just paid off, was stolen in Darwin and written off. This vehicle was more than just transportation; it was essential for Annette’s tireless advocacy work and Peter’s musical commitments, both of which bring immeasurable value to their community. “We are always on the road with our vehicle, we drive everywhere to advocate for the rights and needs of individuals and their families all over”
Who Are Peter & Annette Miller?
Peter Miller, also known as Peter Apaak Jupurrula Miller, is a renowned Indigenous leader, musician, and advocate. As a founding member of Blekbala Mujik, he has used music to promote Aboriginal culture and social justice. His influence extends beyond music—he was a key figure in Aboriginal land rights movements, helped establish the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, and founded the Barunga Festival, which continues to be a cornerstone of Indigenous culture and reconciliation.
Annette Miller, a respected Rembarrnga and Dalabon Elder, has spent her life preserving Indigenous culture and empowering women. As an educator, she rose to the position of Deputy Principal at Gulin Gulin School, working to conserve language and culture for future generations. She founded the Strong Women for Healthy Country Network, uniting Indigenous women across the Northern Territory, and has been a leader in environmental conservation through the Mimal Land Management Board.
Why They Need Our Help
Peter and Annette have spent decades giving back to their communities. Now, they need support to continue their work. The unexpected loss of their car has created a significant challenge, limiting their ability to travel for advocacy, cultural events, and community outreach.
We are coming together to raise funds to help them purchase a reliable replacement vehicle. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward ensuring Peter and Annette can continue their vital work.
How You Can Help
Your generosity can make a real difference. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your network. Let’s show our appreciation for all that Peter and Annette have done by giving back in their time of need.
Together, we can help them get back on the road and continue their incredible contributions to Indigenous culture, education, and advocacy.
Thank you for your support!
