Support Pete's Fight Against New Cancer Battle

Hello, my name is Karen. I am the wife of an amazing man named Pete. In September 2023 Pete was diagnosed with esophageal cancer that had also spread to his lymph nodes. After many months of chemotherapy and radiation, we received the gift of hearing that he was officially in remission.
Because esophageal cancer is a silent killer, Pete had to have biopsies and pet scans done on a quarterly basis. Up until March of 2025 the results came back still showing that he was in remission. In March of this year, Pete started losing power in his right hand, experiencing sudden numbness in the right side of his face, and seeing colors and shapes out of the corner of his right eye.
In speaking with a neurosurgeon, he was advised to get an MRI of his brain because the symptoms he was experiencing was not due to spinal degeneration. In one week he had an endoscopy with biopsies, a pet scan, and a brain MRI done. In one day, all of the results came back and our hearts broke one more time. Although the esophageal cancer was still in remission, he now has a new cancer site in his liver, and thirteen metastasis in his brain. Pete will have to start aggressive whole brain radiation therapy in the next few days. After that treatment he must heal for 2 weeks before we can find out if the radiation was effective at all. Additional radiation is expected to be necessary and because he has 13 lesions, he could spend numerous months in the hospital getting treatments. With the grace of God Pete will then have to face surgery, chemotherapy and more radiation to deal with the metastasis in his liver.
Pete is a father of four daughters, two currently in college, another starting in August, and is self-employed in a small business. He won't be able to work for many, many months during his treatment and recovery. I am asking for help to meet our monthly household payments, to lift some financial burden off Pete's shoulders and reduce some of the stress he is under.
Every penny counts; thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity!
