Support Pheng Lor's Family in Their Time of Loss
Donation protected
Thank you for taking the time to read my GoFundMe page. I never thought in my life that I would have to write these words for my beloved uncle Pheng, who passed away too soon and too young.
On October 11th, at 3 o’clock PM, my uncle Pheng did not show up to pick up his son, Luke, from the bus stop. The school called my uncle Pheng, but he didn’t pick up the phone. After 4:00 PM, the school called again and finally got a hold of a family member who lives nearby, my aunt. My uncle Pheng is usually on time when picking his son up from the bus stop.
My aunt came and picked up Luke, and Uncle Pheng's car is still in the driveway. However, upon going into the house, they discovered my uncle collapsed and deceased.
He was sick for four years, battling a silent struggle with prostate cancer. He had two beautiful kids, both of whom were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The children relied on their father in ways that were unique to each of them. Since his passing, the family and the two kids he left behind have been trying to navigate this profound loss. It has been difficult helping them understand the passing of their father.
Their father always put everyone first, especially his children. He was their best dad and their rock. My uncle Pheng is one of the most respectful, kind-hearted, loving people and has helped raise me and my siblings. Everyone who knows my uncle Pheng knows what kind of man he is: a loyal, solid person who taught us right from wrong and to be compassionate to others regardless.
My priority has always been to ensure my children have the support, love, and resources they need. But with their father gone, the emotional and financial weight on our family has become overwhelming as we work to come up with funeral funds.
The funds will be used to help with the funeral expenses, and whatever is left over will go towards providing the two children with the stability they need to get through this difficult time.
In these difficult times, with the loss of our beloved Uncle Pheng, the emotional and financial weight on our family has become overwhelming as we work to come up with funeral funds. We are here to ask for any donations to help alleviate the burden of funeral expenses, as we just want to provide a proper burial. We would greatly appreciate any donations, no matter how small or big. Anything will definitely help the family as they struggle through these tough times. He left behind two children: a son, Luke Lor, who is 11 years old, and a daughter, Zurina Lor, who is 10 years old.
As of right now, we have the date of service set for Nov. 2, 2024, for his funeral.
Thank you
