Support Phillip, Lorraine and their family

Donation protected
On April 8th, 2024, Phillip Racine, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, suffered a stroke while visiting with his grandkids. Phillip was rushed to Brandon hospital via ambulance and it was determined the artery in his neck had been slowly plugged over time, which resulted in his stroke.

Phillip was admitted into the ICU, where it was determined his speech and functions on the right side of body had been affected and doctors were unsure to what degree. Phillip also is suffering from post stroke aphasia, a language disorder that is affecting his ability to communicate.

Although each day we are seeing improvement, Phillip still has a long way to go. He has been moved from the ICU into the rehabilitation facility where they are working on improving the functions on the right side of his body, and improving his language skills.

Currently, he is able to walk with assistance and hold a partial conversation however he often gets confused and loses his train of thought. He is working through his physio and occupational therapy as well as continuing to get tests ran on his heart. Once he is released from the hospital (hopefully sooner than later), Phillip will be required to travel to continue his physio and therapy in Brandon and will not be able to return to work.

While Phillip is the last person to ask for help, the medical bills and personal bills continue to grow as well as added hotel and gas bills to ensure his wife and family can be by his side supporting him.

Please help us support Phillip and his family through this trying time, so he can focus on his health and returning home and not on the financial burden this has created.
