Support Pip’s Fight against Cancer

As I’m sure you’re all aware, our dear friend Pip was sadly diagnosed with a brain tumour at the beginning of this year. He has so far undergone very intrusive brain surgery as well as radio and chemotherapy. We thought there was no other treatment left for him and his prognosis was negative. However, he has recently been told by a pioneering consultant, Dr Paul Mulholland, that there is something that can be done.

Dr Mulholland is a Consultant researcher based in London who specialises in using cutting edge treatment specifically for this type of brain cancer called oncothermia radiation. It uses radio frequency treatment to heat cells directly targeting the cancer and surrounding cells, with no pain. This type of treatment has been used in Europe already, with very encouraging results, on average, increasing patients life expectancy by 4-5 years.

Following consultation he has now told Pip that he can help him with this treatment. Such fantastic news!

So here comes the ask…unfortunately this treatment is not available on the NHS, with each treatment costing £1000, and a years treatment costing £36,000. I’m sure we’d all love to contribute to raising this money in order to prolong Pip’s time with us and his loving family.

Any kind contribution would go a long way to helping Pip achieve that 12 month treatment programme, and hopefully a future that he may not otherwise have.
