As a low-power FM (LPFM) station, we’re committed to bringing you the voices, stories, and music that matter to our community—all made possible by the support of listeners like you.

This September, we’re launching our Thrills, No Frills Fundraiser with the goal of raising $15,000 to keep Pirate Cat Radio on the air, commercial-free, and thriving. Your donation will help us continue providing authentic, diverse, and engaging programming that reflects the unique spirit of Los Gatos and Santa Cruz.

Here’s a breakdown of how your donation will directly support Pirate Cat Radio:

Transmitter Site Rent & Electric – $5,000

$2,500 for our transmitter's electricity costs, and
$2,500 for our tower site rent to keep our signal on the air.

Music Licensing Fees – $1,000

These fees cover our BMI, ASCAP, and Sound Exchange dues, ensuring we can legally broadcast the diverse music you love.

Broadcast Equipment and Repairs – $6,000

These funds will go towards upgrading and repairing essential broadcast equipment to maintain smooth, high-quality programming.

Media Education Programs – $3,000

Supporting youth, young adults, and the 55+ group, this funding will provide workshops and training, helping the next generation and underserved communities engage with media and radio.
