Support Plattsburg's Historic Restoration

Hello-

My name is Melissa Fahlstrom. My fiance, Ryan Jensen, and I have recently taken over the building that was previously known as Three Amigos, The Hitchen' Post, Gardner and Ditto's, and several more in between.

The three units on the corner of Broadway and North Main have been a part of downtown Plattsburg since the 1800's. They have played a role in many families lives that still currently live here.

Sadly the building has fallen into disrepair since 2016. Mother Nature and the elements have caused a lot of damage to the roof, leaving open sky in a number of places. Rain and water damage were quick to follow. The brick work will need maintenance, the electrical is a labyrinth of "follow the wire" and "how was there not a fire in here?", and parts of the subfloor will need replacing. Most of the cosmetic interior will be demolished and replaced as well, due to water damage.

This will be a massive undertaking. While this building is not officially a historical building, it is historic to Plattsburg. We want to see the corner building of our business district back up and running, hosting businesses and helping our town continue to grow. It is crucial to save these buildings to maintain the integrity of our Main Street.

As the owner of Sugar Whipped Bakery, and a homeowner in town, I hope I have shown my dedication to Plattsburg. Ryan serves on the board of the Chamber of Commerce, The Community Courtyard and the Plattsburg Pound Puppies. We see the potential in this town and want to see it thrive! But we cannot do this alone.

We are asking for your help. We will be transparent about all expenses and how the money raised has contributed to the rebuilding of 105 N. Main Street. All funds will go towards construction. Any money raised above the need of construction and repair will be donated towards the non-profit organizations in Plattsburg.
