Support Plēb Urban Winery’s Staff and Beyond

My name is Jahde Marley. I am a NY based colleague and supporter of Plēb Urban Winery. On behalf of Lauren, Chris, and the staff of Plēb Urban Winery, we are establishing this platform for the wine community who have reached out in droves to direct their fundraising efforts.

Hurricane Helene has taken much from many, and we are grateful that the full Plēb team are accounted for. The structure that housed the winery and what so many of us consider the beacon for the hopeful future of wine on the East Coast and beyond has been wiped out.

Plēb has been steadfast in their commitment to organic farming, low-intervention winemaking, and embrace of agriculture that thrives in their area while holding space for their neighbors to learn and grow along with them. The seeds have been planted and will continue to grow for North Carolina to join the conversation of exceptional wine-growing states.

Plēb’s staff will be out of work for the foreseeable future, and funds will be distributed to them first. As our campaign rolls on, cofounder Lauren will allocate funds appropriately.

Thank you, Chris, Lauren, and team from the bottom of my heart for giving us all so much to believe in, for leading by example, for your vision, vibrant dreams, imaginative wines, and all of your hard work.

Your love for Asheville, North Carolina, and greater Appalachia is evident. The light you have cast on the area will live on!
