Support "Plump" A Thesis Film By Gabi Coronel

Hello, my name is Gabi Coronel, and I’m thrilled to share my thesis film, Plump, which I will be writing and directing.
As a senior at Ithaca College majoring in Film/Photography/Visual Arts, my goal is to create a deeply impactful and visually striking film that explores mental health with nuance and care. Plump follows Dani, a young-woman who struggles with self-image and mental health. While she needs help, the story delves into her journey to recognize the importance of seeking it for herself.
To bring this vision to life, my producers and I have outlined how we’ll allocate the funds raised:
Locations: $400 to secure our primary filming location, Dani’s home.
Props & Set Decoration: $200 for essential props and creating an immersive set.
Film Festival Submissions: $200 to share the completed film with wider audiences.
Gas Reimbursement: $50 to support our cast and crew traveling to and from set, with carpooling to reduce carbon emissions.
Craft Services: $350 to ensure everyone on set is well-fed and hydrated, with sustainability in mind (encouraging reusable water bottles).
Contingency Fund: $100 for unexpected expenses during production.
The inspiration for Plump stems from the film Girl, Interrupted and the song “Plump” by Hole. The visual aesthetics of the film will contrast beautifully with the diverse and complex characters we meet, creating a layered and evocative narrative.
At its core, Plump is a story about understanding. Dani’s imperfections mirror the realistic balance of flaws and strengths in all of us.
For me, this project is deeply personal. I aim to give voice to those who might have been affected with any topic this film touches on.
Those that donate to the film will recieve a special thanks in the credits.
Thank you for considering supporting this project. With your help, we can create something truly meaningful.
