To All Our Valued Poolesville Piranhas Parents,

As we have successfully met our previous goal and exceeded it. We have raised the goal to $2,500 in the hopes of providing our swimmers canopies next season!

We greatly appreciate all the continued support.

Previous Message with Goal of $1,800:

In the past we worked with the Town of Poolesville to obtain grants to pay for our Ice Cream Social, awards, and gifts for the end of the summer season. In the beginning of May, we learned that our grant application for $2,800 was not approved for this summer. The Town grant application criteria has been amended to exclude sports-affiliated organizations as of 2024.

To overcome this challenge, we are asking for help from our swim team and Poolesville community families while we try to find a long-term solution for the Piranhas. Montgomery County Recreation has graciously agreed to pay for the end-of-season awards for our swimmers. However, we currently do not have funds for the Ice Cream Social and gifts, which are vital elements to our season.

We've set up a GoFundMe with a goal of raising $1,800 by mid-July to cover the cost of these items. Although donations are not required, we would greatly appreciate any support you're able to provide via the GoFundMe. We also understand that this is in addition to the tireless efforts from many of you already volunteering your time at our swim meets.
