Dear friends I am overwhelmed with your response. You were there for me and I am so very grateful. As this drama unfolds it seems to get more complicated and more painful. I am truly trying to find the help I need and you were a big part of that it’s a daunting process and again I’m grateful to all of you and especially to my wife Mary Beth, who does not leave my side. I love you all and I’m gonna whip this thing.

Hi Everybody, as most of you know, I am suffering from several debilitating conditions: Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, Spinal instability, Lumbar disc herniations at all levels, Diabetes, and more. I’m facing numerous procedures and have had to cancel a lot of shows. I’ve had to pay out of pocket for a lot of treatment as they are not covered by my insurance. Unfortunately, more cancellations are on the horizon. I’ve had to continue to pay out of pocket for inadequate insurance and foot all the expenses of treatments that might benefit me.

I’ve been a hard worker for 35 years and I’ve always had to buy health insurance out of pocket. For this process, I found my insurance continually denying the care I desperately need or sending me to inadequate providers. My only option at this time is to find a top provider, who is a neurosurgeon which I have. Between this and the cost of what I am facing, I am facing serious financial, physical, and emotional duress.

As you all know, I have never asked anyone for help and given help freely. I have been trying to sell some of my guitar collection but it’s a slow and arduous process and one I dread. I’m facing some rough times and ask for your help. Thank you, I love you. I want nothing more than to play for you on my feet again.

Update 5/28

I was taken to the ER for cellulitis in both legs and developed a small clot in my ankle. After treatment I became short of breath and was treated for Ventricular Tachycardia . Luckily this is treatable but will make it difficult to fly for until I am stable,

Please help me get back in the game.
