Support Porter Eaton's McKinley Angel Fund

My name is Porter Eaton and I am 9 years old. I am in 3rd grade at McKinley Elementary School in Billings, Montana.
McKinley is a Title 1 school, which means that there are high levels of poverty, and many kids that don’t have their basic needs met. In my little school, there are currently 6 homeless kids, 17 kids living in motels, and 1 living in the shelter.
When I look at some of the kids around me, I wondered if I could make a difference. I came up with the idea to raise money for those kids in need. These are kids right here in our community that need help. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to come to school and learn when your basic needs are not met.
I met with my principal to tell her I wanted to raise money to help these kids. She told me that the greatest needs are hats, gloves, shoes, blankets, and other essentials. Raising money at McKinley can be challenging, but I think I can make a difference, and I want to try.
I have a goal of raising $10,000 to start a fund to support kids whenever the need arises, for years to come.
I will manage this money with the help of my principal and parents to make sure every dollar is used to change the lives of my friends at McKinley Elementary. 100% of every dollar donated will go to helping these kids.
I am calling this project, McKinley Angel Fund.
I hope that I can count on your support. Thank you!
