Poulsbo pride was conceived and organized in order to celebrate inclusivity and diversity inside of Poulsbo and the greater North Kitsap area through social events, outreach, support, & advocacy.
Donations go to support Poulsbo’s Pride in the Park celebration.
In just a year we:
- ️Put on the first major Pride event in North Kitsap, Pride in the Park, with a full day of entertainment, many community organization and local business vendors, food trucks, and a kids’ area.
- ️Offer weekly social meetups, paint ‘n sips, potlucks, movie nights, & more!
- ️Served the community Friendsgiving Dinner and distributed meals to our local unhoused community members through generous contributions from local businesses and volunteers.
- ️Hosted a Holiday Gift Drive providing gifts and toys to many families and teens in our area.
- ️Created The Lavender Club: A Safe Space for Teens with regular meetups and events especially for teens and youth.
- ️Established Trans Alliance North Kitsap which specifically supports the trans/non binary community, their families, friends, and partners through monthly meetups and support group meetings.
- ️The first Pride group to participate in the Viking Fest Parade!
- ️Advocated at the City Council for Durable Pride flag displays downtown during the month of June.
