Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
Since 1992, Power Surge Softball has been a cornerstone of San Diego, empowering young girls to excel on and off the field. Today, our 10U girls' softball team is carrying on that proud tradition as we prepare for an extraordinary opportunity: competing in the 2025 PGF National Championship Tournament, held July 27th - August 3rd!
This is more than just a tournament—it’s the chance of a lifetime for these talented, hardworking athletes to showcase their skills and represent our community at one of the most prestigious events in youth softball. However, reaching PGF Nationals comes with significant expenses, including travel, hotel stays, vehicles, equipment, and more. To ensure every player can participate without financial hardship, we’re working to raise $38,000 to cover all costs.

Power Surge 10U PGF Nationals Fundraising Breakdown
To ensure full transparency for our generous donors, we’ve outlined how the $38,000 we aim to raise will be used to support the team’s participation in the 2025 PGF National Championship Tournament.
Estimated Expenses Breakdown:
Travel Expenses - $2,000
Gas and parking for team caravans and personal vehicles.
Local transportation in Huntington Beach for 8 days. Gas costs for the team, coaches, and chaperones. Transportation to and from the tournament venue (rental vehicles or shuttle services).
Lodging - $20,000
Hotel accommodations for the team, coaches, and chaperones for 8 days. 17 Rooms for 7 Nights in Huntington Beach Hotels:
$170 per room per night x 17 rooms = $20,000 (adjusted rate based on group discounts).
Meals - $8,000
Daily meal stipends to ensure all 14 players and 3 coaches are well-nourished throughout the tournament. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at $47/day per person for 8 days.
Tournament Fees - $3,000
Registration, administrative fees and insurance for participation in the PGF National Championship.
Team Equipment & Uniforms - $3,000
Tournament-specific gear, additional uniforms, and any equipment upgrades or replacements needed for peak performance.
Miscellaneous Expenses - $2,000
Emergency supplies, team snacks, hydration supplies, first aid, and other unexpected costs that may arise during travel and competition.
