Support Prachas Legacy and Empower Regional Activist Leaders

If you’re viewing this fundraiser, it’s probably because Pracha positively impacted your life in some way. Now, Pracha’s colleagues and former students are planning to conduct a Mindful Facilitation for Empowerment course (Training of Trainers) in Pracha’s honor, as a part of his legacy. We are very excited to do our very best to pass on some of Pracha’s wisdom, love, and practical skills to the people who can continue to take forward these valuable teachings in the world–but we need your help raising funds to support our scholarship students.

We have received a number of course applications from regional grassroots activist leaders in Southeast Asia, NGO workers, and Southeast Asian young educators who are doing amazing things with Ecovillages, transition movements, and Ecovillage Design Education in our region, but who unfortunately don’t have funds to pay for training. These are folks whose communities could really benefit from this course.

Some of our applicants provide counseling, self-awareness training, and other holistically-oriented courses for others, and some have even been political prisoners who continue to try their best to help others despite the traumas they have been through themselves. Now, we'd like to be able to help them.

We’d like to support as many of these applicants as possible, so that they can gain valuable skills to bring back to their organizations, communities, and countries. Our initial goal of 6,000 USD will allow us to offer full scholarships to four applicants from Southeast Asia + offer partial scholarships to two applicants. If we raise more funds, we’ll be able to support even more of our neighbors to the north who are working diligently for change.

We are reaching out to you, Pracha’s network, in order to ask for your help in our mission to offer this course to those who need it most. This training is in Pracha’s honor, and we want it to be of benefit to as many people as possible–especially those from disadvantaged communities in our region. Anything you can contribute will help us do this, even if it’s only a dollar (Really, we mean it!). And, if you can share our fundraiser among your family and friends, we would really appreciate it!
