Baby Giuliana was born on October 6th, 2018 weighing just 0.815 kgs / 1.79 lbs. Baby Giuliana was born at only 25 weeks, and over 3 months premature; her mother Crissy was rushed to hospital to give birth, and luckily Crissy is in good health and is spending all the time she can, along with her husband James, with Baby Giuliana.
Giuliana is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) ward of KK Women and Children’s Hospital in Singapore in an incubator, receiving breast milk through a feeding tube, and is breathing with the help of a ventilator - CMV mode (IV fluids, Insulin, blood transfusions, UV light therapy to reduce jaundice and under the watchful eye of the amazing nursing staff 24 hours a day as they continue to monitor her and hope for the best. Giuliana is a real fighter – like her parents! – and the doctors have given her a good prognosis as she continues to gain weight every day and is now weighing in at over 1 kg.
Unfortunately, Giuliana’s hospital bills are enormous reaching $33,000 to date and continuing to climb, and due to her early arrival and complications, Crissy and James can use all the help they can get to cover the hospital bills.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide financial assistance for Giuliana’s hospital treatment. Every little bit counts and Crissy and James’s family and friends in Singapore and in the Philippines are doing everything they can to raise funds to help.
