Support Presley’s Fight in the NICU

Hello, my name is Alyssa and I am Cody’s little sister/ Presley’s favorite aunt! I am starting this page to help Cody and Taylor with expenses as Presley has a long journey ahead of her.

At 14 weeks, Cody and Taylor found out Presley would be born with an Omphalocele (abdominal wall defect). This means there is a hole in her belly where some organs were growing outside of her belly rather than inside. On NYE their worlds were completely turned upside when a doctor told them they should terminate their pregnancy at 19 weeks. Presley was very active at that point and had a good heart beat so Cody and Taylor fought for a second opinion and thankfully they did because Presley proved to be a fighter and was scheduled for a full-term c-section on May 13th.

On April 20th, Taylor went into labor and the was Life Flighted from Findlay hospital to Ohio State where she had an emergency c-section. Presley made her appearance at 4:01pm weighing only 3pounds! Although we are thankful Presley is making great progress, she is facing an uphill battle and a long NICU stay. Taylor does not have maternity leave so all time taken off will be unpaid and Cody will be commuting back and forth from Bowling Green to Columbus for work until Presley is home.

All money collected will go directly to Cody and Taylor to help with gas, food, and bills so Cody can take days off as needed to be in Columbus. This will hopefully take some burden off of them that way they can focus their energy on Presley’s recovery!
