Support Prince Mason's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family of Prince Mason –
My name is Maurice, brother of Prince Mason. In late October, Prince began experiencing dizziness and numbness in his legs that made standing and walking difficult. Upon visiting a series of doctors and after numerous tests, he was found to have a large mass growing at the base of his skull. His doctors were optimistic that the removal of the mass and some physical therapy would allow him to get back on his feet and resume a normal life.
Prince was unable to work while awaiting word from his doctor on when the procedure would be performed. Surgery was scheduled for December 9th and by all accounts, the surgery was deemed successful. His health took a dramatic turn when on December 23rd, while still in the hospital recovering, his heart stopped, and he was deprived of oxygen for approximately 6 minutes. Hospital staff were able to revive him, but it became necessary to put him in a medically induced coma and be placed on a ventilator.
While he is showing some signs of improvement, the extent of the damage and his road to recovery are unknown. Prince is a fighter. For those of you that know him, he is also a gentle giant. An almost 20-year employee of the Clyde’s Restaurant Group. Chances are if you have dined for lunch at the Old Ebbitt Grill and ordered a hamburger or chicken #1, Prince made that for you with pride.
The financial hardship this has placed on him and his family has been tremendous. Prince lives with his mother who is reliant on his income. The road to recovery will be long and the financial burden to cover medical bills and living expenses will continue to grow. As a last resort, we are asking our friends and family for financial help.
Thank you for the well wishes through your calls, texts and visits. Our family continues to ask that you keep Prince in your prayers.
With Much Love – The Mason family.
