Support Priscilla and Baby in Critical Time

Donation protected
As many of you may have seen on social media, my dear friend Priscilla, also known as LaGordiLoca, is facing a very challenging time. She is currently hospitalized and awaiting uncertain news. Priscilla is pregnant with a baby boy, but this pregnancy has become complicated, and she is expected to deliver early.

For those of you who may not know, Priscilla has endured significant heartache in her life, having experienced three pregnancy losses at five months gestation, which were devastating. After her second loss, she adopted her first child, who is now almost five years old, and later adopted her second child after her third loss. When she became pregnant for the fourth time, she initially considered terminating the pregnancy to avoid more pain. However, she was referred to one of the best OBGYNs in Laredo, who encouraged her to give him a chance to help her have a successful pregnancy.

At three months into her pregnancy, her doctor sent her to Dallas for surgery that would support the baby’s development. Priscilla ultimately delivered her first miracle baby, a beautiful four-pound girl named Phoenix, at 32 weeks. A few months ago, she planned her final pregnancy before turning 40, but now complications have arisen due to the surgical stitch from her previous procedure, (a stitch that stays intact for life or until surgically removed) which must remain in place. With the baby now weighing a pound more, she is now facing to deliver very early in her pregnancy any time this week.

Priscilla’s life and the baby’s are at risk; her doctors have warned her that her uterus could rupture at any moment, which could be catastrophic for both mother and child. She has been admitted to the hospital for an emergency C-section, aimed at saving both their lives before the situation escalates.

Not only is Priscilla my friend, but she is also family. Over the years, she has been a pillar of support for many families in our community, helping kids, youth, and the elderly. While she may not be everyone's favorite, and she has a colorful way of expressing herself, she is always willing to help anyone in need.

Priscilla will likely be out of commission for about two months, with her baby needing to stay in a San Antonio hospital for care. She will need assistance with bills, travel expenses, food, and other challenges that may arise after the birth. I ask you to consider helping her during this difficult time, as I know without a doubt that she would do the same for any of you in her position.

Lastly, please keep Priscilla and her baby in your prayers; they need all the support they can get. Thank you all for your kindness and generosity.
