The Professional Standards Committee (PSC) is a body of lead peacemakers from various agencies in Los Angeles who are dedicated to upholding the Standards of Conduct and Practice to guide the work of community violence intervention and street outreach. Priscilla Lozano is a contributing member of the PSC and highly valued in the field of intervention. Recently, Priscilla was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy with surgery scheduled for May or June 2024. As peacemakers often do, Priscilla continues to care for her community while going through treatment. Health insurance does not cover her full costs for chemotherapy, and she will soon need to go on medical leave for surgery.
The PSC is committed to supporting Priscilla in every way possible. Peacemakers are stronger united! We are asking the community to support our fellow peacemaker in her fight against cancer. Funds raised will go directly to Priscilla to cover her medical expenses and the recovery period following surgery.
Priscilla’s dedication to reducing violence and maintaining peace in the Boyle Heights community has had a resounding impact for over 15 years. Her leadership and mentorship have paved the way for more women to join the lifesaving field. Please consider making a donation of any amount to help Priscilla on her journey.
