My dear friend and colleague, Karina Martinez, tragically lost her home in the Eaton Canyon fire. While she and her loving dog, Ipo, thankfully made it out safely, everything she owned was destroyed.

Karina, lovingly known as Profesora Martinez, is a dedicated and beloved educator at Fremont Elementary. She has been honored with the title Teacher of the Year in the Alhambra Unified School District, a testament to her passion and commitment to her students. She has built lasting connections with families, students, and colleagues, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she meets.
