Help for Scottish Puppet Theatre!
Our Biggar Puppet Theatre - home of the Purves Puppets is closed because of the covid 19, we're a small family business run by Ian, Jill, Victoria and Colin Purves - been in business since 1970!
This year we should have been celebrating 50 years, but we can't open to enjoy it with our regular schools, nurseries, communities and public whom we miss greatly. We rely on ticket sales to keep the theatre afloat, as we are not a charity with any regular funding.
If you remember seeing Purves Puppets in the Edinburgh Festival, abroad on an international tour with our shows like "Nessie the Loch Ness Monster" or just have fond memories of bringing your wee ones to see "Pips and Panda" for your annual Christmas treat, we need your help now!
All the funds will be ploughed into keeping the theatre business afloat, and ongoing creative projects to keep the Purves Puppetry going.
We will be so grateful for your support in these uncertain times, as theatre and creative arts are what brings happy memories and families together. Theatre's will be one of the last in line to re-open, due to the social distances and so we would appreciate any help whatsoever for the theatre's future and enjoyment for all.
Best wishes
