Hi, my name is Quandell Roby. I'm 10 yrs old, and I live in Opelousas, LA. I've been diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, and it requires me to get a platelet transfusion twice a week, until they can develop a steady treatment plan for me. I just got out of Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital for the 2nd time. I am now unable to attend school due to my very low immune system. Now I have to travel back and forth to St. Jude's Hematology Clinic in Baton Rouge, LA Twice a week for a platelet transfusion.
