Support Rachel's Memorial and Dani's Future

Rachel Frances Walton, 40, passed away on April 9, 2024 in a vehicle accident in Ramona, CA. Rachel was born on August 21, 1983 in San Diego, CA to her parents Roberta Swier and Steven Swader. The world forever changed, and no one had any idea what was coming.

Rachel has reunited with her beloved husband Mark, father-in-law Mickey, and grandparents Ann & Robert Boykin, John and Tina Swader. She is survived by her mother Robbie, father Steve, siblings Shara, Russel & Trevor, her companion Matt, and most importantly, her step daughter Danielle Walton, in addition to the countless friends who knew her through the years she graced us with her presence.

Rachel loved being a stepmom to Dani and was known to do crafts, dress in dinosaur costumes, and talk on the phone or in person with her often, usually resulting in trouble for one or both of them. She adored cats, doing things outside the box, traveling, old books, wordplay and puns, trying to make things awkward or weird, and in particular, everything and anything to do with Alice In Wonderland. She absolutely loved a good adventure and getting into all sorts of hijinks and shenanigans. She was successful in these endeavors.

Rachel was unapologetically herself. Her free spirit, rebel soul, and fierce loyalty made her truly unforgettable. If she loved you, she loved you with everything she had and would always have your back. Many of us were so lucky. Rachel was a soul constrained only by her own inherent stubborn will, keeping herself bound because of her fearless enthusiasm for life. She was a star that burned too bright for far too short a time, and became the supernova she always was, and everyone who knew her believed her to be. Rachel will be truly missed, honored, and remembered by many, and all of our times together with her will be forever cherished until we see her again.

We are starting this GoFundMe to cover the costs of Rachel's Memorial, and other associated funeral services. Any remaining funds will be given to her stepdaughter Dani's mom Shanda to hold for Dani.
