RadioBlogging.Net is a free internet radio show broadcasting live weekdays at 9.30am. We launched on day one of the UK lockdown and have been broadcasting since Monday 23rd March. The show was set up by five educators as a response to the Covid-19 crisis to provide a daily dose of creative writing for children at home and school across the UK and beyond. Featuring readings and interviews from award-winning authors and poets including Anthony Horowitz, Michelle Paver, David Almond, SF Said, Peter Bunzl and many more. We are incredibly popular, with over 150,000 listeners and 336,000 visits to our blogging site. Listeners have uploaded more than 60,000 pieces of work. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to attract Government support or corporate sponsorship and although our costs are low, most of us are self-employed and have seen our incomes disappear during the lockdown. Reluctantly, we find ourselves having to asking our loyal followers and listening audience for support. Please consider making a donation to help cover the costs of the show and to support the team.
