Support Ralph and Linda's Recovery Journey After Hurricane.

Dear Friends and Community,
My name is Courtney Johnson, and together with my sister Natasha Winfrey, we are launching a GoFundMe campaign to support our parents, Ralph and Linda Juneau, and their beloved dog, Jena.
We have lived in Florida my entire life, and our families have relocated to various parts of the state. We are currently seeking assistance to help bring our parents closer to one of our family members, ensuring they have support nearby. In the meantime, we are looking for financial assistance with their bills until FEMA support becomes available.
Recently, they were caught in the devastation of Hurricane Helene, losing their home, two vehicles, and all their possessions. The only things they have left are each other and Jena.
We have exhausted our savings to provide our parents with temporary shelter in a motel, ensuring their safety during this challenging time. We are currently waiting for a response from FEMA, which has indicated it may take 7 to 10 weeks. The impact of this disaster extends beyond Steinhatchee, affecting numerous communities across the state of Florida.
While we await assistance from FEMA, we have encountered multiple challenges, including claims that they are “out of money.” Additionally, issues with insurance have rendered many options ineffective in the wake of Hurricane Helene. My father is a veteran, and unfortunately, even the VA has been unable to provide assistance.
We understand that many have been impacted by recent hurricanes, but we are reaching out for help as we strive to support our parents during this difficult time. As single mothers, we have done everything we can while ensuring our children are cared for.
Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering our request.
Sincerely,
Courtney Johnson and Natasha Winfrey
