I never imagined I would be writing this for Ramesh Mallela's family. With a heavy heart, I just want to update you all, as of evening hours of 4th June 2021 (India), Ramesh passed away fighting the COVID-19 related complications. Thank you all for your love and support so far. He has left us with so many memories to cherish. Ramesh would be remembered by all of us as an ever smiling, that go-to street smart friend who is always there in need, an ardent fan of cricket, a responsible father of Nihal and Hanvika and a beloved husband of Lakshmi and this list will never end.
He is the sole bread earner in the family and we need your support to build this campaign and raise as many funds as we can to provide best future to the kids and the family. Please share this message with your friends and family, no donation is small.
Ramesh's family will be the sole beneficiary of this campaign, and every dollar received will go to his wife Lakshmi Padmavathi and the two children to recover from this trauma and ensure security for their future.

My name is Hari, raising funds for our dear friend Ramesh Babu Mallela - father of 5 years old Nihal and 1 year old Hanvika. Ramesh who lives in California, US went to India to support his father’s treatment of post-COVID-19 complications and somehow got infected with this deadly virus in the course. He is currently battling for his life with COVID-19 related complications in Kamineni Hospitals, Vijayawada. His lungs are badly affected with HRCT score of 20/25 (80% damage). He has also developed cytokine storm in his system. As of today, his health condition continues to be critical. Doctors are monitoring him closely and we continue to pray for his speedy recovery.
In the next 30 - 60 days, he may need upto INR 35 lacs (~$50,000) for his treatment based on the estimates from the doctors who are treating him. Most of Ramesh’s savings are exhausted for his father’s treatment. This is the time we need to join our hands to help him with whatever we can. Please come forward to support this cause. Any contribution would be of great help.
