Support Randy and His Family

Donation protected
Hello my name is Frank White. I am raising money for my son Randy.

Randy was in a terrible collision in the outfield during a 9/11 charity softball tournament. He collided with another player while attempting to catch a fly ball. He immediately grabbed his left arm and he could not feel his left arm or move his fingers on his left hand. He went to an emergent care facility and they immediately transferred him to Albany Medical Center so he could get the best attention and testing available. He was in the hospital for two days and had a CT scan, x-rays and an MRI on his shoulder. He was eventually diagnosed with a clavicle that had been broken in three separate places. The doctors thought the numbness in his hand was possibly a pinched nerve in the area of the broken clavicle. He was to follow up with a surgeon as they thought surgery was needed to repair the clavicle.

Not wanting to lose his new job, he went to work when he got out of the hospital and before he could see the surgeon. He was in a training period and only had to sit in front of a computer. He thought he would be safe with his arm in the sling that the hospital ordered him to use for a month. All was well for three days when a co-worker fell down stairs and into Randy's injured shoulder. He immediately had excruciating pain in his shoulder and his left arm went completely limp and numb. He ended up again in Albany Medical Center, this time for four days. A second MRI was taken, this time on his neck area revealing he had 2 bulging disks in his neck. A separate MRI was taken on his shoulder and arm revealing he has a dead nerve in his arm. The doctors hope that when he is able to start physical therapy, the feeling and overall use of his arm will return.

Randy had just started a new career the previous Monday and has limited health insurance. He is not sure if his position will be waiting for him when he is able to return to work. Randy just became a new father and his wife is not currently working as she is taking care of their newborn baby. The money raised will go to help with medical and rehabilitation costs, along with helping his family with baby needs and living expenses.

Thank you for your time in reading Randy's story and considering donating to this young family during their very uncertain future.
