Support Langley's Journey to Gender Affirmation

Hi! I'm Langley. You may know me from such places as the internet, or your local social circle. I'm a 34 year old trans woman, but my path here was a long one, and unfortunately I experienced severe and so far irreversible androgenic hairloss before I was able to start hormone replacement therapy to halt the damage. I've been on HRT for five years now, and it looks like my hairline won't get any better than it is right now.

Hair transplant, for me, is the most gender affirming procedure I can imagine. I experience incredible shame daily, I feel worth less compared to my peers, and I feel like I can't go outside without my wig. I fear sexual intimacy because I don't know how people will react when I take my wig off. I can't swim like I used to enjoy so much.

For me, hair transplant is The Big Surgery. If I had to chose between hair transplant and bottom surgery, I'd chose hair transplant.

But insurance doesn't cover hair transplantation, and while limited hairline advancement can be achieved through FFS, consults have told me that isn't a practical avenue for me.

With surgery being prohibitively expensive in the US (a recent estimate I got was $23,000), I'd like to go to Thailand to undergo hair transplant at the BHI Clinic. My video consult with the clinic has estimated the cost for transplantation at approximately $9,800 based off the images I provided, and it's my only route to escape the gender dysphoria I wake up with every day.
