Support Rebecca Avery's Fight Against Cancer

Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters:

Many of you are aware that our beloved Rebecca Avery has been battling neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix for the past two years; a journey that has seen both triumphs – from being declared cancer-free in March of 2023 – to challenges like courageously fighting the return of her cancer in June 2023 with the spirit and resolve that we know and love her for.

Through each step of this journey, Becky has exhibited strength, resilience, and grace – showing up to work, showing up for friends and family, and overall, being the generous, live-life-to-the-fullest Becky we know. None of this is expected of her, and yet she has insisted on not letting this horrific disease dictate how she shows up in the world.

Now, it’s time for us to show up for Becky.

While treatment over the past six months has allowed Becky to thrive, we have suddenly come to the point in Becky’s diagnosis where she can no longer work and must rely on disability benefits to obtain the level of care she needs. The latest development in her journey has come quite rapidly, and with it brings numerous medical and personal expenses for Becky and her family that are not covered under her health insurance, or her benefits.

That is why we are humbly reaching out to the community Becky has spent her life building and cultivating – the friends turned family, The Bison, the family members, the coworkers, the new friends all over the globe – to ask for your support during this critical time. Not only will your donation help alleviate the sudden medical costs burdening the Avery family at this moment, your generous support – no matter the size – signifies the love, care, and esteem to which we hold Becky, and will no doubt fortify her both physically and emotionally for what is to come.

While we can’t take away the pain she may be experiencing, we can ease the financial burden to give Becky and the Avery family peace of mind, which will allow them to focus 100% of their energy on healing.
