Support Rebecca's Paralympic Journey

Rebecca Johnston grew up in Hood River, Oregon where she fell in love with outdoor sports and fostered her athleticism as a high-performance volleyball athlete. After battling osteosarcoma cancer throughout college and choosing to amputate her leg for another chance at competing in sports again, Rebecca has finally made it in Parasnowboarding at the highest level and will be competing in her third season on the World Cup circuit this winter 2024. Rebecca’s ultimate goal is to compete on the world’s stage at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Paralympic Games.
Finances are the greatest barrier standing in the way of her goals. With all World Cup competitions taking place internationally, she will need to raise a substantial amount of money to offset the cost of plane tickets, lodging, race fees, transportation, and coaching fees for her competitions. Every little bit helps!
Estimated Cost Breakdown for the 2024-25 Season:
Flights $4,000
Lodging $3,500
Coaching Fees $800
Groceries $300
Transportation $400
Lift Tickets $500
Race Entry Fees $950
Wax & Tuning $50
Upcoming Competitions:
January – Pyhatunturi, Finland – Snowboardcross
January – Lenk, Switzerland – Snowboardcross
January – Kuhtai, Austria – Banked Slalom
February – Grasgehren, Germany – Snowboardcross
March – Big White, Canada – World Championships
Having the chance to compete internationally in Parasnowboarding is essential for the future of Rebecca’s snowboarding career.
Please show your support for her journey by donating to her travel funds, and contribute towards making this dream possible for all future women’s Parasnowboarding athletes.
