Support Rebekah and Team USA at the World Dance Championship

Hi! I'm Rebekah. I'm 17 years old from South Dakota. This November, I will be representing the United States as part of TEAM USA at the World Dance Championships in Poland. I was selected by invitation to audition for this high honor. I am one of 85 dancers who was selected from the audition to be part of this team. I am the only South Dakotan or Midwesterner on the team! I will be on the Senior Lyrical and the Senior Contemporary teams competing against dancers from other nations in Poland Nov. 27 to Dec. 1.

The World Championships are held annually by the International Dance Organization. More than 90 nations compete at the event. It is basically the Olympics for dance!

I am asking for financial support to help cover the costs of travel to Poland. Each dancer selected for Team USA is required to fundraise to cover their portion of travel costs. Because I am a minor, I must also have a chaperone with me as well. Those who have been selected to be on the team are encouraged to seek out sponsorships from area businesses, organizations, and individuals. Your donations are very much appreciated!

A little more about me: I am 17 and in my senior year of homeschool high school. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. I have studied all styles of dance -- ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, musical theater, acro, and more. I studied under Dorota Dannenbring at Academy of Dance for 10 years, at Heartland Conservatory of Dance in Omaha for two years and have been at Dance Gallery of South Dakota in Sioux Falls for the past three years. I have danced competitively for 10 years, winning numerous awards through the years. I have been a member of the Heartland Youth Ballet (2019-2021), Dance Gallery Youth Ballet (2021-2024) and LiRa Dance Theater Company (2023-2024). I have just been invited to be a Trainee at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and will be starting my studies there this fall.
